Hey Thrill,
Yeah, I was going to tell you to not do this, but felt you'd have to experience it for yourself

. I think every poker player has experienced this at least once

. If they haven't, then they ain't playing it right lol!
My story's semi similar to yours, but for NL HE. Essentially I started with 30 bucks (thanks Travis!), set a goal of building my BR up to 100 bucks on the .01/.02 HE tables. I figured it'd take me several weeks to do this. Well, it only took a week and I felt like a god. So I said to myself, "Now that I reached this goal, it's only natural to give .1/.25 a try, right?" I go there. First night's gravy, I go up like 20 bucks in 20 hands. Now of course I'm feeling great, thinking that the 1/25 tables are just cake.
Next day is a nightmare. I hit 1 bad beat, and then tilted my roll down to... drum roll please.... 8 bucks!!!! This hurt sooo bad man, I mean to see my roll drop below what I started with, and know that I gotta build it up AGAIN on penny tables? But I learned my lesson. Fortunately I was able to build it up to 17 bucks on penny tables that night (the night I leant scubaduff 5 bucks), and the next day I went on a trip for 2 weeks (didn't play any poker, but watched lots on TV --- I was in the states at the time and it seemed like every sports channel was having poker marathons).
But yeah, I waited over a month after this experience before going back to the 1/25 tables. I essentially just read, played (building roll), and watched lots of poker. Last week I moved to 1/25 tables after losing all respect for these penny players, and am VERY pleased with the results

.
The best part is I've built my roll up to the point where 4 bad beats in a row barely makes a dent, it feels good

.
Cheers,
Mike
PS. If I were to give you 1 suggestion, it'd be to slow down and not rush things... Injecting 50 bucks into your roll's probably a good idea, but if you feel rushed, you'll just lose your roll again. Saying, "I gotta get back what I lost earlier today." is just going to cost you more money.
