I'm currently trying to claw my way up to a decent sized bankroll and am now playing STT's and MTT's to build it up. I'm just wondering about something that confused me though.

In Dan Harrington on Tournament Play books, he emphasised on tight play early in the tournament, yet this issue of Inside Poker that I have talks about implied odds and about bad players being around so you wanna hoover up chips early. Do these ideas contradict each other, or is the magazine just saying to play SC and small pairs in multiway pots in favourable conditions?

Also, does anyone have the link to that 180man SNG advice topic on 2+2? I had the link a while ago, but can't seem to find the topic anymore..
