I bet. someone raises I fold, I may get the turn checked to me and if it is an undercard I check and call the river. if someone is slowplaying they usually try to check-raise the turn and if you check the turn you may get someone to bet a 7 into you on the river. Basically eliminate the chance for a check-raise and induce a bluff on the river.
