I'm a bit confused with how to play a pocket pair of lets say 10s or less in mid stage game. Whats your objective when you get them? steal the pot, call and hope for 3 of a kind, raise and do a continuation bet if possible?

I normaly play them verry tight, in early and mid stages of the game, I will take a look at cheap flops hoping for 3 of a kind and droping the hand as soon as someone seems to have something better.
