Default Unlucky or should have got out of his way?

My first multi table tournament, just wondering if I should have really got out of the way. I had a ton of outs.

It was only a $1 satellite to win entry to a bigger tourney, so nothing too serious. We were down to 16 players from about 45 at the start and I was 6th in chips. I was kinda hoping he just had a pair of jacks, maybe with a weaker flush draw, but was expecting to see two pair or a set. People had been getting it in with much less.

Bad to risk the tourney on a hand like this when in a fairly good chip position?

Cheers
