A real 'look at me' thread this one...

Having played online for a year or so I started playing a live game at my local pool club recently - the club has got itself a licence and is hosting £10 freezeouts every Tuesday night.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I have won 2 of my last 3 tournaments (entered 5 in total), including last week, against a field of 36, so I am feeling top of the world right now, not least with the way I played, and coming back from a perilous position early on with a couple of decent bluffs.

Needed some luck along the way - including doubling up early on hitting a full-house on the river (all-in with Queens) after my opponent had made a flush on the turn (called with AKh). But made a few good reads and played the big hands well enough to avoid any major beats.

Planning to keep going to these tournaments, they are pretty friendly, relaxed affairs, and the blinds go up fairly steeply so they don't last more than 4-5 hours. Also looking at playing at my local casino, although that tournament is a £10 rebuy, which I am sure would be a bit manic.

Anyway, that's it, I'm a winner, for now!
