I guess I need to come to the defense of RakeGuard here, since I am a very happy member myself (and will be playing in the formentioned freeroll!). I looked up "freeroll" on wikipedia and here are the applicable definitions:
"The term freeroll is also used to describe a tournament with no entry fee but the use of the terms 'free' and 'no entry fee' can be misleading because some freerolls require a payment at some point to gain entry to the tournament.
Freeroll tournaments can be genuinly free, may require a payment of points (from a point system developed by the site), or on some occasions require a deposit of funds into the player's account. The winnings are either real money, points, merchandise or entry tickets (invitations) to other tournaments."
So I'd have to say that the RakeGuard tournament is certainly a freeroll, and a pretty darn nice one at that...
