My short stack game is so terrible
Whenever I make a crucial mistake, I always end up going out nearly right after the mistake. A few minutes ago, I was playing in a tournament on Pokerstars, and I was critically short stacked. The blinds were 500/1000 and the antes were 100, I had a little over 2000 in chips with maybe 3-4 hands until the big blind hit me when K10 off suit came my way. It was a difficult debate, because as it is my favorite hand suited, it’s still a moderate hand (and with a full table of nine it can be less than a moderate hand), but I know that with only a few hands left until being blinded out I should make my push with the next moderate hand. My mistake was folding, and not just because the flop was KKT, but because I had just told myself prier to that in order to improve my short stack game I need to start taking those risk with the moderate hands.
