Facts are this... Raise of 4x BB. Get one caller.

Flop comes up and you push. The raiser has to think. What hands can this guy possibly have.

Here are the raisers odds.

You have A J..... 83 / 14
You also have A K 50/50
You have pockets 7's to 9's... 40 / 60
You have Johnies..... 29 / 71
You have K Q or A Q or KK 27 / 72
You were slow playing pocket A's---16 / 83
You have trips.... 14 / 86

The only hand he has you beat is if you have A J. Only hands he has decent odds are pockets up to 9's or AK. Otherwise he's at 1 to 3 or worse odds. This is where your preceived playing style comes in. Did you bluff a lot? Did you call big raises with marginal hands? Did you C-bet a lot? He's got plenty left to make a run if he folds...

Unless your a big bluffer or LAG... it's a bad call. But...... many, many poker players don't know odds at all... so don't be surprised when they do call.
