For tournies with a fixed even payout, like multi-winner satellites, you need only to burst the buibble, not play to win. In regualrt tournies, there are 2 races, One for the bubble, and the second for the final table. In a sat, there is only the bubble, and it doesnt matter if you have 1 chip or 1 million chips, you still get a seat.
Overt aggressiveness is -EV when you have a big stack in a Sat. Playing smart and aggressive is a differnt story. Why risk parts of your stack repeatedly to win small amounts of chips you really dont need?
In the QQ scenario, You really can't flat call, and you really can't raise too much here and commit yourself. But the problem arises, can you really release this hand, and give up the oppurtunity to knock somebody out, when the Flop comes down Ten high? THeres no way to put them on a set. You really gotta pay of a short stack in these situation. He just tilted and busted slowly.

So you would have just raise the minimum amount and wait to see the flop...?
