I think pennies tables instill such bad habits. I'm getting used to .10/.25 and I like your idea of building a roll.
Anyways about your hand, were you trying to slow play them? I think whenever you flop a flush with low cards(Q through 3) you should bet hard because the turn or river could bring another suited card which could give somebody with AKo the nut flush.
The odds of you have 2 spades, turning 4 spades, and him having 2 spades is low. Thats 8/12 spades "shown". Sure it's possible, but not likely.
Of course I don't blame you for folding because that's alot of money to play on a whim.
