any help here would be appreciated. Let you know what I did later. I always struggle in an early position with pairs like this. Just wondering what a correct/good play would be.

I would raise 4X BB to 400. It should in most cases take the blinds uncontested. JJ is a good hand, but not THAT strong. If called, then you act accordingly to the flop. If you get reraised all in, you either call or fold, but I would probably call. But it'S your call. You can face KK or AA. The best case scenario is you face 10's 9's or 8's. If you face overcards like AK, then you are still a small favorite. 400 is a good raise in this case. Flat calling by somebody would probably mean I put him on AK or QQ, or a lower pocket pair than Jacks, but not less than 7's. Post flop play depends of the flop so I can't really go further on that. If you give details about the flop, then I will give you an idea of what I would of done.

This is stricly what I would of done. Others maybe would of played differently.
