Most of dealers and waiters salary comes from tips. They're usually paid less than minimum wage with the idea that tips will make up the difference. So as long as you're not getting bad service, I would always tip. Even if the dealer is doing just a mediocre job, not being overly friendly and just dealing the cards, I'd still tip him. Remember, it's a person working a job and not everyone is gonna be all cheery and enthusiastic every time they're working......I know I'm not. You're having fun playing poker, winning money and probably having a few drinks along the way and all the while the dealer is on the other side of the table serving you. The least you can do is throw him $1 when you're raking in $100.

Now if the dealer/waiter is being rude and isn't really doing their job, that's a different story.
