I thought there was a pretty good chance I had the best hand here but last time I called with the nut straight on a board like that against 2 opponents one guy filled up on the river and I missed the payout by one

This affected my decision quite a bit!
I know that it's best to get your chips in with the best hand but was I correct to fold this (ignoring the Q on the river that would have busted me)?
With that many people in the hand I figured that although I may have had the best hand there were a lot of outs that were beating me. Any spade for example, or a 10 to give someone broadway, or the board pairing to give someone a boat.
It was an enormous pot and had I taken it down I would have been massive chip leader but my thought process was that it's better to fold what's
probably the best hand here with that many people in than call and get drawn out on and be crippled.
Great laydown or am I a pussy?! lol
