There is no reason to get agressive with marginal hands like TT or AQ. Like you said, people won't bet their hands, so take cheap draws if you can get them with a lot of caller, but mostly just wait for it to get down to 5 or so before you start really playing.
Thanks i'll give this a try. what seems to be happening is my stack fluctuates a fair bit (although less than other players). for example i raise 4bbs pre flop with AQ or AJ if i connect with the flop then i can win some chips but if i don't then it dents my stack. i guess i'll tighten up a bit more although i thought i was playing pretty tight/agressive.

Would you recommend not raising preflop with AQ/AJ type of hands? these are the ones which are at the lower end of the hands which i will raise with if there is no preflop raise in the early/mid stages.

also what about TT, JJ and QQ preflop?
