Default set on a flush board, how do you play this?

This was a interesting hand to play, MP was fairly LAG and I was pretty confident that he didnt have flush on the flop. However I suspected that he had a high heart card. I didnt want to over commit to this pot on the flop so I just called the flop bet. Turn was a non-heart, but it did add straight possiblities. I called the small turn bet and was looking to complete my full house. River was a non-heart and he threw out a smallish bet, I just call and took down the pot.

Do you guys think I played this hand too passive? How do you extract the most money here without commiting yourself in case a 4th heart comes?
