Well dont go all-in.

Never go all-in, At least i try not too.

Play the pot, not your stack. If you want to overbet with top2, then make a 1.5x pot size bet. This does one of 2 things. First, it shows your serious and you intend on playing this pot. If they call, you are usually ahead. Secondly, it can give you an out. This out is folding to the all-in reraise which you are forcing them to make if they want to reraise here. Depends on what you think they'd push with though.

Personally on flops with top2 that I need to protect like this, I'll make a 80%-100% pot size bet here. More wiggle room.

As much as Rounders quotes are despised, there are some pretty good and applicable ones. I think this is one of them "Always leave yourself an out."
