I dont mind your call, but this flop isn't great for you. If you call with such hands OOP you really need to hit the flop hard, ideally you catch a piece of the flop and have a SD/FD as extra outs.
Fortunately he was short-stacked, otherwise you really gotta fold this hand at some point. Essentially you're gambling he has 88-99 rather than JJ-QQ (I fully agree with your analysis
but JJ/QQ is imo just as likely as 88-99.)
