Ok i didn't explain myself very well.
I was really asking the more experienced poker players if good money can be made in limit (lowish stakes) in the long term.
From my experience which isn't that vast. What happens in limit is that you get all sorts calling you down to the river no matter what. Lots of people say that's a good thing, as they are really paying you off when they make bad calls and end up with a miracle winning hand.
The point is, than in my experience in limit, say in a 6max game, you can play properly and wait for your decent hands to turn up, then you can lose the vast majority of these, as you can only raise x amount. Thus i find you nearly always get 4 people going to the river(not always but the majority of the time), and you get sucked out. The times when you do win, when people make bad calls, don't compesnate for the amount of times you get beat by the most insane calls, as people are always calling.
In NL, you get fish, but usually as you make it costly, you might only get one nutter willing to call you down hopig for miracles. Thus the odds that you should win that hand x times is greater against this one fish than against 5 fish, and the pot larger, meaning that if you want to play proper poker, that NL the rewards are btter?
Not sure if you get what i mean????????
