Most pplknow my story but anyway..
Played on play money for four months.. then plucked up the courage to play REAL at the 0.01/0.02 level on
PokerStars. I deposited $100. I dropped dowm to 99.95.. then got AA..got a caller..and it held.. By the end of the week I had made $10
A couple of months later I'd sussed out PokerTracker and had $400. Moved up to the heady 0.05/0.1 tables..then moved quickly to Doyles to work off my first bonus - wait for it. By multitabling 8x 0.05/0.1 tables on Doyles I cleared $60 in a month!! also took my winnings to the $1000 mark. Deposited at Party cleared the bonus - by the skin of my teeth at 0.1/0.25 (gee those tables were tough).. Vowed never to return.
In the meantime I sold all my playchips (=$55) and since done pretty well in the odd silly free roll. My initial investment in poker now stands at $23...
Went on a bonus bonanza.. Party skins Cryptos, Primas. Hit $10k before long.. Last time I was grinding I was making 1.4k a month - but it was getting hard work.
My BR is well into 5 figures (don't know how much because its in euros, pounds, dollars). I'll only play bonuses and fun/good overlay tournaments now. I want to progress beyond 2/4 NL but I don't really have the tables outside Party (UK time). As there's no rakeback there - I'm a bit loathed to. I know theres still a lot to learn in NL.. one day I'll get round to it..........
I clear bonuses at 0.1/0.25 on Party - thats why you'll see me there -somehow I find it theraputic....
