Pot odds is how much it cost for you, VS how much is already in the pot.

Example:

Late in an MTT

BB is 2000
You are BB
SS go all in for 6000

Pot is already 8K (the push + your BB)
It cost you 4K to call
Its 2:1 pot odds

Wich is really goodin that situation no mather what you have in hand.

Of course there is alot more situation you have to use pot odds.

In order to decide if you chasse your draw or not, to justify or not a call preflop, to know how much you will raise in order to know what kind of pot odds you will offer to your opponent... etc, etc, etc...

Your succes in Poker will be equal to your hability to manage pot odds.

hope it can help...
