A lot depends what "fairly quickly is". 8 person tourney means 3 different rounds: 1st, semis and finals. If you allocate about 45 minutes each round, you are done in less than 2 1/2 hours.

Without ever trying this system, I would start with something like this:

200 in chips (4 colors)
10 x 10 (green) = 100
10 x 5 (black) = 50
20 x 2 (red) = 40
10 x 1 (white) =10

Each level is 15 minutes. Have two different colored decks for each match to speed up play. Each player has a deck to deal from the button and shuffle when in the BB.

Level 1 blinds: 1/2
Level 2 blinds: 2/4
Level 3 blinds: 5/10 (end of this round is 45min. mark; at 5/10, ShortStack will be M<10)
Level 4 blinds: 10/20 (at this point it won't last long at all)
