Someone please help me understand how to play SS NL. I am playing at .10-.10 NL right now on Powerplayer. I have used the search feature but I dont feel like sorting through dozens of posts to find the answers. I want very direct answers to the questions I have. The only real experience I have with NL is tournament style. I have read HOH Vol 1 and 2. Otherwise I was totally a Limit player up until like a week ago. I had like $4 in my account, and I started playing NL. I worked it up to $24, then lost back down to $4, then tonight I got it back up to $18. I realize that I am underrolled but I dont really have a choice and the money is just sitting on there. I also realize that any evening where I run bad I could lose all of this in the blink of an eye.

First anyone who does well at SS NL please give me your top advice for winning.

1. What should I be buying into these rooms with? (.10-.10 NL)

2. What hand selection should I be looking at?

3. How do I maximize my winnings in this game?

4. What do you do when you have a semi-marginal hand (J10 suited) in a later position with like 5-6 limpers, and someone minimum raises? Is that an easy call?

5. It seems like people play kind of crazy in SS NL. There are so many limpers. What does it take to get people to fold semi-marginal hands? 3XBB? 4XBB? More?


Any advice you pros can give me would be greatly appreciated!!!
